WORKSHOP WITH Teresa Booth BRown
Thursday - Saturday, July 18-20, 2024. 10 am – 5 pm. 7 hours/3days. $275.00
Clothing for Artists is for anyone excited about sewing their own clothes. The workshop will focus on basic construction techniques, clothing structure, and creative fabric use. Students will learn how to use a sewing machine, sew basic hand stitches, handle fabric, and work on a basic pattern. The morning will focus on technical demonstration and hands-on skill building. The afternoon will have an open format for working on individual projects with the support of the instructor.
Please Note: Some advanced preparation is necessary for success in this workshop. Students will need to formulate and discuss project ideas with the instructor prior to the start of the workshop to make the most of workshop time. Projects can consist of either the creation of a new item of clothing, or the alteration of an already existing piece.
